Yoga Class (Camira Studio)

Doris’ yoga studio is located in a quiet, peaceful location in Camira at the Camira Studio. which is a short drive from Springfield, Springfield Lakes and Forest Lake and conveniently located between Brisbane and Ipswich.

  • Tuesday morning 9.30am to 11.00am
  • Tuesday night 6.30pm to 8.00pm
  • Wednesday night 6.30pm to 8.00pm

port_opt_1Each class lasts for 1½ hours and is loosely divided into five parts:
1. Quietening of the mind and breathing practices.
2. Standing postures & stretches.
3. Short relaxation with breathing practice.
4. On the mat postures & stretches. 5. Full relaxation.


port_opt_1Doris Thomes is a graduate and full teaching member of the International Yoga Teachers’ Association (IYTA).
People in her classes are at all levels of experience and competency, consequently beginners fit in very well, although as a beginner you may be cautioned against certain stretches or postures until you have had more practice.
There is no age limit, but a certain level of mobility is required.


Hatha for Ha (Sun) + Tha (Moon) Yoga is a union of opposing forces.

The Sun or Ha Energy is practised in the Asanas or postures; whilst the Moon or Tha Energy is practised using the Mudras (Seals), Meditation Pranayama (Breathing techniques) & Relaxation.
Hatha Yoga is a wonderful combination of these opposite energies which include gentle stretches to release tension, postures to align the body & enhance Energy flow, breathing techniques to further promote the energy flow of the body & relaxation to settle the nervous system & calm the mind.
